Maestro Daniel “D.U.B.” Sapp is an American songwriter, record producer, promoter and 3x Grammy Nominated Music Educator. Born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, D.U.B. embarked on his musical journey as a child and has inspired and motivated many young musicians. Aside from his solo career he is a member of the band (S.O.B.) Sounds of Brilliance with Calvin “Cocoa Dylan” Taylor and is an active professional boxing promoter with K Rucker Productions.
In 2010 he released his first single entitled “I’m So Augusta” which garnered much local success. In 2015 D.U.B. independently released his highly anticipated debut album “III Simple Words” which has been described as refreshing, motivating, and innovative yet classic. In 2017 he followed up with a themed project called #TheMessAge, which was a open letter to the Black Community, both released on his independent production and publishing imprint Brilliant MusiQ LLC. His music incorporates elements of jazz, funk, hip-hop, soul and spoken word. With clever lyrics truthful to his character, and brilliantly composed instrumentation’s D.U.B. is sure to become a major force in the industry of music and entertainment.
D.U.B. currently maintains a position as Maestro of Music at the James Brown Academy of Musik Pupils (J.A.M.P.) where he teaches music theory, production and performance to students k-5/12th grade. In the classroom he is known to his students as “Maestro Sapp”. Calm, cool and focused in personality, he transforms into a obstinate genius when it comes to the creation and teaching of music. With a strong work ethic, Maestro Daniel “D.U.B.” Sapp realizes that every dream is within arms reach!
